It is with great pleasure that I join the Lockeland Design Center community. For years, LDC has been a beacon of success in the vibrant East Nashville community. I look forward to supporting all students who enter through our red doors.
I believe that all schools are communities and thus educators and parents must work together to support student learning. When teachers communicate regularly with families and families reinforce learning at home, schools succeed. I plan on continuing that tradition of collaboration during my tenure at LDC.
In addition to academics, our focus will be to ensure our students are safe and supported. The elementary years are time of exploration; LDC is a place where student social and emotional well-being is paramount. Our dedicated staff will work to guide and support students as they try new things, read new books, and start their journey into adulthood.
