This parent night is focused on understanding the individualized education program process and how it supports your child.
Families will:
- Learn the basics of an IEP and how students become eligible.
- Review parent and student rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Explore how parent involvement supports strong IEPs and positive student outcomes.

This session – presented by Metro Schools and the Arc Tennessee’s Family Engagement in Special Education team - will help families feel informed and prepared to participate as active members of their child’s IEP team.
The MNPS Transition Fair brings together organizations that support students as they move into adulthood. Families can talk directly with agencies that help with college and training, jobs, independent living, and community connections.
- Juniors and seniors will attend the event from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Families and students age 14 and over can attend from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
MNPS is excited to host our Spring 2026 Recruitment Fair Tuesday, April 21, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Nashville Fairgrounds, located at 320 Wedgewood, Nashville, TN 37203. From 2:00-3:00, you will be able to engage with principals/leadership from our Schools of Innovation (SOI) to discuss certificated and school-based support roles for the 26-27 school year. The remainder of the fair, 3:00-4:30 p.m., you will have the opportunity to engage with principals/hiring managers from all participating schools. If you're interested in speaking with one of our departments (Transportation, Nutrition Service, etc.), they will be available from 2:00-4:30.
We invite certified candidates, out-of-state candidates, recent graduates, as well as those with a bachelor's degree (who may be eligible for a permit to teach in certain areas) to join us at this event to learn about various teaching opportunities throughout the district for the 2026-27 school year. We also invite candidates for support roles an opportunity to meet with hiring managers for various positions throughout the district, including classroom associates, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, bus monitors, and others.
During this event, attendees will be able to speak directly with principals and hiring managers to learn where their skills and interests might best fit within MNPS. Principals and hiring managers will be available to host in-person interviews and make recommendations for hire. MNPS is excited to host our Transportation Job Fair on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon at Hillsboro High School, located at 3812 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37215. We invite candidates who are interested in being a bus driver or bus monitor for the 2026-27 school year to join us at this event to learn about the requirements for both roles.
During this event, attendees will be able to get assistance with completing an application (if needed) and have the opportunity to speak directly with the Transportation team about the sign-on bonus and other available incentives. Please do not miss this opportunity to make a difference and help us continue to work towards our district mantra Every Student Known.
